  22. NetGate is a gateway utility which allows you to use your Fidonet
  23. newsreader to read Internet e-mail and UseNet news. It runs on top of
  24. AmiTCP and transfers mail and news to and from your Internet provider. As
  25. such it has a function similar to TrapDoor (familiar to those with a
  26. Fidonet background), although in practice the two operate very differently.

  30. * Reads and writes FTSC-1 compliant (*.PKT/*.OUT) mail and news bundles.

  32. * Sends and receives mail and news directly from your provider's mail and
  33.   news daemons. No intermediate, third party software required.

  37. * MIME compatible, including Quoted-Printable (though not Base64 for now)

  55. NetGate is shareware. The demo version is fully functional but imposes a
  56. few limitations to encourage registration. Shareware fee is $20.
